Born in Cologne, Germany, Klaus was always interested in working on fine automobiles (isn't everyone in Germany?). In pursuit of that, he began his automotive career working for Mercedes-Benz  at their plant in Cologne.

Klaus came to the U.S. in 1963, and began working at European Motors in San Francisco as Shop Forman. Shortly thereafter, he was promoted to Field Manager. As with a lot of talented people, however, his ultimate desire was to own his own shop. With hard work, that became a reality and he soon opened the doors to his own place in Belmont. Later the opportunity arose for him to purchase a larger facility in Palo Alto, (coincidentally next door to the Mercedes-Benz dealer, Park Ave Motors). Klaus has assembled an excellent team of trained technicians, headed up by his Shop Managers, Gary Dickow and Rey Jara.

Together they preside over a factory approved state-of-the-art repair facility. They take pride in showing off the Celette Bench and the Car-O-Liner Frame Alignment Bench System.   They also use the highest quality standard paint, manufactured by the German firm, Glassruit, and which is use as original equipment in the production of Mercedes, BMW and Porsche's as well as some models of Ferrari's and Rolls Royce.

With a computerized estimating system they provide comprehensive damage appraisals which are accepted by most of the major insurance companies. Their goals are to make repairs that are "near impossible to detect".
